The federal skilled worker class is a class of persons who are skilled workers and who may become permanent residents of Canada on the basis of their ability to become economically established in Canada and who intend to reside in a province other than the Province of Quebec.
Foreign Nationals who apply for Canadian Permanent Residence under the skilled worker category are first considered under the Federal Skilled Worker Category. This is the most competitive category which selects only the highest ranking applicants in the Express Entry pool.
